It is axiomatic.

Special Economic Zones can be very effective to boost the commerce of particular areas. There is a city New Bedford, MA which has a heavy immigrant population (Portuguese). They have assimilated quite well in a generation due in part to prosperity.

If we could just get our policy makers to stick to the facts which includes that the driver of all this is poverty, elsewhere. But that would take the Twighlight Zone.

Comment on Immigration vs. Illegal Imigration

Any effective policy should center around the economic (business) side of this problem. All your points along this line are well taken. Have you ever heard of Special Economic Zones? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Economic_Zone

Comment on ACLU - Rock Paper Scissors.

THAT - is a great idea !

Sadly, it makes too much sense to ever happen.

Comment on Electronic Voting Under Fire

How is it that with all the complaints about e-voting there is only one court action after ths last election ?

</rdf:RDF>
